Will A Reese Gooseneck Pin Box Void A Lippert Frame Warranty?

Updated 06/17/2026 | Published 06/14/2026

Question:

I own a 2025 grand design 350 g that has a standard 5th wheel, I seen posts that say lippert allows the Reese gooseneck swap without voiding warranty. Do you agree with that, and would you recommend me contacting grand design directly to confirm

Hey Jason, thanks for reaching out. Right now, there are two gooseneck pin boxes that are approved by Lippert and will not void their frame warranty; the Reese and the Curt Helux. As long as you're sure your 5th wheel has a Lippert frame (virtually all of them do), you'll be good to go with either of those goosebox options.

Do you know what pin box is currently on your camper? We'll need to determine the exact pin box size, bolt pattern and weight capacity to make sure you get the right replacement.

I bought a 2026 Momentum 320G last year and had Reese Goosebox installed. Before I did, I called Lippert and directly confirmed with them. I gave them my frame serial number and they told me that it was all good, warranty would stay intact.

@GriffS Nice yea it's always best to confirm the pin box specs with Lippert. Glad to hear the Reese has been working out for you, and that it didn't void your warranty. Thanks for sharing!

@JesseM I love the Reese Goosebox. Not dealing with fifthwheel taking up bed space is awesome.

I also confirmed with the manufacturer this would not avoid warranty. I am using it to three times since I model and note that it’s especially helpful with rough roads where there’s lots of humps. Also takes the jerking stops. While I have had no problems with the pressure in the airbag part of the suspension, I think now that other brands are also making these gooseneck catches. I would look at one without the airbag. These are also being sold by E Trelor and my mind their service and product to be very good.
