Updated 06/02/2026 | Published 06/01/2026 >
Question:
I recently received some tires mounted on wheels from you- 13 Kenda Carrier on alum. wheels. Do you balance these before shipping? If not, I want to have that done locally. Thanks, Dave

Welcome back David!
The Kenda Karrier KR35 ST175/80R13 LRC Radial Trailer Tire w/ 13" Aluminum AM03 Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 # KE22XJ you ordered does kind of come balanced, but not in the traditional automotive kind of way. What I mean by that is the heavy spot of the wheel is match to the light spot of the tire and vise versa. This is how all trailer tires and wheels come "balanced", but there are no actual weights used.
We do get this question pretty frequently and some people do go further and have them balanced at an automotive shop, though I must also admit that doing so won't really achieve a whole lot. It's of course up to you, but I would try them out as they are before going that route. You will likely find that they are perfectly fine as they are.
What did you install these on? Have you taken it out for a good drive as of yet?

Thanks for the quick reply. Good info and I will try what you suggest. I have not mounted them yet, but it should have them on the road by this weekend. They are going on a boat trailer that I regularly pull two hours each way on the highway.
