Hi Tom, welcome back! As far as I can tell that space is just too tight for the etrailer # e38FV. Even if you installed it sideways one of the screws would be inaccessible. We have at least one person who has used it in a similar space, but it looks like it is a larger opening than the one on the 2025 Model Y. For an option that will fit I recommend the Gen-Y # GY88XR. You can see this on another Gen-Y in the photo below.

Works as advertised, no problems on installation and does a good job securing the hitch. I would buy again if needed.
