Replacement Grease Seal for Dexter 7,000 lbs Axles

Updated 05/11/2026 | Published 05/06/2026

Question:

I have a 2025 Riverstone 42FSKG with Dexter 7000lb axles and disc brakes. Any idea which wheel bearing seals are needed for the rotors?

Not without looking at your axle tag or the part number off of one of the seals Steven. Unfortunately, the Dexter 7,000 lbs axles have two different options for replacement grease seals. One measures 2.250" item # GS-2250DL and the other 2.125" item # GS-2125DL.

Do you have a picture one of the axle tags, or even a part number off of one of the disc brake rotors?

If you have a picture you can send it directly to the email address you receive this response from. If you have a part number you can put it below where it says Add Comment.

Buy both grease seals to find the right one or use a tape measure or a starrett tool that measures inside and outside measurements. But definitely get a double seal grease seal and when you are ready to install make sure to put grease on the seal surface and if this is a boat trailer use grease that won’t wash out and fill up the spindle full of grease. Use rubber gloves and rags to clean up the mess. Good luck

Thanks for the picture Steven. I just heard back from Dexter and your 7,000 lbs axles require a 2.250" grease seal like item # GS-2250DL.
