Question:
I have a flat utility trailer about 10 ft long.i need to replace the tongue. The tube it neefs to fit to 3 x3 sq. 2 inch ball would be great but I do have others I can use. Hauling 3500 lbs max RARELY but more often 1000. Please provide recommendations. Usually I would it to tongue but this is replacement for tongue that was welded where bolts normally would be but has failed. No salt water or air to deal with so any syr8ng metal ok.

Thanks for the info Bill, sorry to hear the coupler failed but we can get you all hooked up.
Since your trailer uses a 3x3 tongue and you’re under 3,500 lbs, the best option is a bolt-on coupler like Curt QuickPin trailer coupler # C54UR. This coupler fits a 3-inch channel and uses a standard 2-inch hitch ball. The QuickPin make hooking up the trailer as simple as possible.
I'd recommend going bolt-on instead of welding, since your previous weld failed. Bolt-on couplers are very reliable and make future repairs or replacements much easier.
As long as you use good-grade hardware, you’ll have a solid, long-lasting setup.
What do you usually haul on the trailer; gear, equipment, or ATV/bikes?
