I have a 2025 chevy colorado wt. I have a boat trailer. I have it wired with reverse lights and had just the pair of led taillights for marker lights brake and reverse combo.... On dash of truck when press breaks trailer info shows check marker lights on trailer.... when let go of breaks goes back to normal... What 7pin round to a 5pin flat do I need to have a resistor to correct the error makeing truck think a marker light is out.... I have a curt 7pin to 5 flat currently on setup

Hey Robert. The 7-Way to 4-Way/5-Way Trailer Adapter item # C35FR you were looking at, is exactly what you'll need. This adapter has built in resistors specifically designed for trailers with LED lights. It'll allow your Colorado's computer to register the trailer lights and stop that message from popping up.

Robert, I purchased the adaptor described by Jerred for my 2024 Ford Ranger. It solved my issue with error lights on the dash when using LED trailer lights. I strongly believe that using this adaptor will solve your issue as well.
