Happy to Help Karl, thanks for reaching out!

Since the correct mounting hardware depends on the specific application, we don't carry the hardware kits. To bolt on Demco Straight Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM15000-52 you’ll want to use four grade 5 or grade 8, 1/2" diameter bolts, along with washers and lock nuts.

The exact bolt length just depends on how thick your trailer tongue is, but most setups fall in the 1-1/2" to 2-1/2" range.

If it’s a standard channel tongue like 3", the thickness is usually around 3/16" to 1/4" per side. You don’t need it exact down to the millimeter, just close enough to choose the right bolt length so you have full thread engagement without too much extra sticking out.

What do you tow most—boat, work gear, or a trailer?
