Typically, tongue weight is calculated as 10 to 15 percent of the loaded trailer weight. With 6200 dry (unloaded) weight this would likely put your tongue weight between 600 and 900 lbs.

For a trailer in this weight range, I recommend the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System with Sway Control, part # RP66084. This system works best with trailers with tongue weights ranging from 600-1200 lbs and includes the weight distribution shank as well as the dual-cam sway control system. This system will prevent trailer sway before it can start, instead of merely resisting sway.

Ideally, you will want the trailer tongue weight to fall as closely as possible to the middle of the effective weight range of the system you choose.
