Hi James,

The Safe-T Plus Steering Stabilizer part # ST98MR you were looking at is a great choice for your 3010DS Forest River! The Safe-T-Plus has had some great feedback and people prefer the feel of it over other systems when driving for keeping the motorhome straight on the road and reducing driver fatigue. It's a super easy bolt-on installation and will make steering easier and safer in the event of any weather or tire failures. It also comes with a nice lifetime warranty, so you'll always be covered. Please keep in mind that once it's bolted on, it has to be centered and torqued properly for it to work. If you need any assistance with that, we can connect you with one of our awesome partnered installers.

What is the next trip you're taking your motorhome out on?

James, I purchased the Safe T Plus steering aid to help eliminate fatigue while driving. We have a 2019 Minnie Winnie 31K on an E450 chassis. It has made a difference, especially in reducing and eliminating thumb pain. We use Minnie to get us back and forth to from MI to AZ each year, so it gets used. I also installed Hellwig sway bars, front and rear. I recommend the steering and sway bars. Minnie handles much better. All were easy to install. For the steering, find a deserted road with a straight flat stretch about a half mile long. Have someone drive perfectly straight down the road. After a 1/4 to 1/2 mile stop. Without moving the wheel, hold the brake and go into park, shut off engine. Now crawl under and loosen the ubolts, the spring will bring it back then retighen the u bolts. Easy peasy

@Carl I agree 100% that having anti-sway bars and a steering stabilizer together are ideal for getting the best ride out of your motorhome. What part of Michigan do you travel to?
