Features to know about

Better Stability on the Highway: Solid 1-3/8" Chromoly Bar Keeps You Planted

Nothing makes driving more stressful than feeling your rig sway when a semi blows past or the wind kicks up. The solid 1-3/8" diameter, 4140 chromoly steel bar ties the front suspension together to keep everything level and controlled. It minimizes side-to-side movement so the ride stays predictable through crosswinds and over uneven pavement.

Less Fatigue on Long Drives: Smooth, Predictable Steering

When you’re constantly correcting your steering, it wears you down fast. This front sway bar keeps the body level so you can hold your line without fighting the wheel. The result is steadier tracking and less effort behind the wheel, making long days on the road feel easier and more relaxed.

Built for Long-Term Strength: Polyurethane Bushings and Hammer-Tone Finish

This setup skips the soft rubber and goes with polyurethane bushings that resist oil, gas, and ozone. They don’t squish out or wear down quickly, which means more consistent support over time. The sway bar itself gets a corrosion-resistant silver vein hammer-tone powder coat that shrugs off scratches, while the black powder-coated brackets stay looking sharp for years.

Straightforward Install: Reuses Factory End Links and Mounts Without Drilling

No need to drill or modify anything. The bar reuses the existing factory end links and mounts up with the included zinc-plated hardware. The kit also comes with clear instructions and bushing lubricant, so you can bolt it in with basic tools and get back to driving with better control and stability.

This is the product you should definitely consider if you are driving a class C motorhome. The difference is not only visual it is a world of difference on the road as well. It's a shame the manufacturers do not install these as a standard for all class C's. Ready enough to put on for nearly any DYI BUY IT, you'll be glad you did

Working out well made a huge difference in handling!

by:

Very heavy duty and it’s made a huge di fference

I don’t normally write reviews, but had to after my experience with this sway bar. I have a ‘19 Coachman Leprechaun on a E-450 chassis. The stock sway at was not optimal to say the least. Would feel very semi that passed us, and forget about in the wind... We just took it on our first 7 hour drive after I installed this Hellwig sway bar (while towing a 4 door Jeep JL) and couldn’t even believe the difference. Night and day. I installed the sway bar myself, which was very simple. Handles like a pickup truck now. Absolutely would recommend.

Gosh, Conlan, just reading this makes me feel extremely relieved for you! So happy to hear the Hellwig is performing the way it should :) Kudos to you for tackling the install yourself! Where did you go on your trip that took 7 hours?

by:

Fits great , easy to install . Really ties down the front of the motorhome .

by:

This sway at added the stability that I was looking for on my 32’ E450 class C. It is stable in the wind and when semi Trucks pass me. Very good product.

by:

It's been a year since I replaced the small oem swaybar on my 33ft class c motorhome. I installed a Hellwig 1 3/8". It made a big difference in ride and handling. Controls the side to side rolling that the Ford E450 is known for. In August we went to Calif. 2500 miles across the country. Listen up ladies. My wife drove as much as I did. We are also towing a Ford transit van on a tow dolly. 53ft total length bumper to bumper. I can definitely recommend etrailer. Service is great. Quality products . 1 stop shopping for your rv needs.

by:

This was easy to install and MUCH heavier than the "heavy duty" OEM anti-sway bar.

by:

What a big improvement. Not done yet will try the helper springs next.
Thanks

by:

Both worked wonders on our new Forest River Sunseeker 3010DS. Helped with the roll and the wonder. Would highly recommend these for any Class C.

by:

Easy to install. Definitely notice a difference in stability in the wind. Great customer support. Recommended.

@Robert Happy to hear that the # HE26GR is still holding up well! Sounds like adding the rear sway bar really tied it all together. Thanks for coming back with the update after a year—that kind of long-term feedback is super helpful for anyone on the fence.

Upgrading the sway bars made a big difference on the way the motor home handles great choice

by:

Makes a noticeable improvement on handling on lean on off and on ramps, cornering, etc. when combined with the rear hellwig sway bar. Should be standard equipment on C class motor homes on the E450 chassis.

It was a very worthwhile investment. I dont think a red hawk should be sold on a e450 chassis without the upgraded sway control. Makes a huge difference with trucks passing, on and off ramp lean, and general handling.

Installation was extremely difficult from the ground. Either find a hoist or have a professional do the Installation.

by:

Our Ford E350 got blown all over the Interstate on trips. It was so dangerous at times. At first I installed Bilstein shocks and though they helped a little, installing the front and rear anti-sway bars and the steering stabilizer made all the difference in the world. I changed them all at the same time so I don't know which one helped the most. These are certainly quality products and are pretty easy to install.

by:

These were very easy to install and have made a huge difference in the handling of the Motorhome. I highly recommend these to anyone wanting to increase the stability of their RV both on the road and also while parked. Added these first then later added the Roadmaster steering stabilizer and the difference is night and day! No more white knuckle driving!! Well worth the money.

by:

Had my doubts about anti-sway making much of difference, but after I installed it and took it for a test drive, it was like day and night, along with a steering damper it almost drove like my pickup. I just don't understand why these motorhome manufactures don't install these things at the factory. This greatly improves handling as well as safety. So if you do the white knuckle death grip driving I would highly recommend you have this installed along with a steering damper. No regrets.

by:

Our Jayco Ford E450 chassis is so much easier to drive down the highway now with the Hellwig anti-sway bar! Great price good videos and easy installation! Photo is old vs. new. What a difference.

by:

I'm using both front and rear swaybars by Hellwig, along with a Safe T Plus steering stabilizer, and it's been like night and day when compared to what was OEM in my '25 Ford E450. I no longer experience the super flighty feeling when driving in high winds, and, while I won't say it drives just like my car, it is a much more solid and stable, and relaxed, driving experience.

Really improved the handling. Passing trucks on the interstate isn't as uncomfortable anymore. Generally I can now drive one handed. One person can change them but two would be easier.

  • Which Hellwig Anti-Sway Bars Should Be Installed on a 2022 Entegra Odyssey 26D
Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out! You are correct that you'll want to install the rear Hellwig Anti-Sway Bar # HE78RR first on your '22 Entegra Odyssey 26D, and then if you still need more help you can install the front Hellwig Anti-Sway Bar # HE26GR. You'll see a bigger difference with the rear bar replacement than you will with the front which is why we recommend changing out the rear first. Some additional upgrades you might be interested in for the the future are a steering stabilizer...

  • Parts to Improve Ride Quality on 2025 Jayco Greyhawk 27U
Hi Ed; unfortunately, that is a pretty common problem with new motorhomes. The front and rear anti-sway bar are typically the best way to start so adding the Hellwig Front Anti-Sway Bar # HE26GR is a great idea. After that, I recommend a steering stabilizer. The Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer # RM47MR will drastically improve steering and really cut down on fatigue. Since you have the rear anti-sway bar, do you have the JRide Plus package? That comes with the Koni shocks...

The kit includes upgraded polyurethane bushings and new hardware, so the only thing you aren't replacing is the end links themselves. On the E-450 chassis, the sway bar is where you see the biggest improvement in handling and stability.
