Question:
Is the only difference between the FR45PV and FR65TD the thermostat and distribution box, with the 45PV having the LED lights? Or are there additional benefits with the 45PV that create the substantial price difference between the two packages?

Hey Lars you are correct. The only difference between the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System item # FR45PV and item # FR65TD are the LED lights built into the air distribution box and the different thermostat capable of controlling them.
The thermostat included with the Furrion Chill HE item # FR45PV can be used in multi-zone setups as well as control the LED lights in the air distribution box. If you were going to add an additional Furrion Chill HE AC system you could control both with the single thermostat. The additional buttons also make it easier to program settings with the item # FR45PV.
You can also add the Heat Strip Add-On for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner item # FR63PR. This heat strip can be controlled by the thermostat included with the Furrion item # FR45PV and item # FR65TD. It's not going to replace a furnace if you're camping in colder weather but it will take the chill off of a cool 50° - 60° degree morning.
Have you moved completely on from the Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Heat Pump item # FR59TQ in white or item # FR27TQ in black? Or are you just looking at other options?

Thanks for the reply and explanation of those differences. I’m just looking at the different options available to add a second AC in the bedroom of our Cougar fifth wheel. I believe Keystone usually installs the Chill HE units in that spot. But I love our primary Chill Cube and have been considering that instead. And of course with the new Chill Cube with the heat pump coming out, I’m only getting more uncertain which one I’d like to get. But I appreciate all of the info to help me make an informed decision.
