Question:

I’m building out a van and want to pull water from a lake or container if needed. Which system actually does that?

Hey Alex, that’s exactly what the ARX+ Off-Grid # GB54FR is designed for.

It has a built-in 12V pump and battery, so it can draw water from lakes, streams, or containers and run it through a 4-stage filtration system. No pressurized hookup needed. The portable battery comes with a few different charger styles so that you can always find a way to keep it charged, whether it's a shore power hookup, cigarette outlet, or car/rv battery connection.

The AR3 systems like # GB39FR or # GB59FR are for campground spigots - and they won’t pull water on their own.

Are you planning to rely on that as your main water source or just as a backup?

Appreciate it Andrew. This would probably be my main water source when I’m off-grid, not just backup. I’ll have a tank in the van but want the option to pull from a lake if needed.

@Alex Perfect - that’s exactly the kind of setup the ARX+ was built for, Alex. Running it as your primary source with a backup tank is a really solid way to do it, especially in a van build. Just keep in mind you’ll want to be mindful of your water source quality depending on where you’re pulling from.
