Is The Blu Tech AR3 Really 0.2 Micron Absolute?

Question:
The ARX system. It is saying .02 micron rating. Is that .02 absolute? If so can you provide the testing document please.

Hey Jess, welcome back, and good question. Short answer, no, it’s not stated as a .02 absolute rating, and that’s the key distinction.
Blu Tech lists the AR3 as a 0.2 micron filter, but they also clearly note that those micron claims are “based on manufacturer representation” and not a certified absolute rating. That usually means it’s a nominal or performance-based rating, not a guaranteed “absolute” cutoff like you’d see with lab-certified filters.
As far as testing documentation, Blu Tech does mention NSF/ANSI standards and third-party performance testing for the filter media, but they don’t publicly provide a spec sheet that calls it out as 0.2 micron absolute with a published test curve or log reduction chart. If you need that level of documentation (absolute rating, test protocol, reduction data), you’d likely have to request it directly from Blu Tech, because it’s not something they publish openly with the product.
