Features to know about

Three Stages of Filtration

Blu Technology AR3 Three Stages of Filtration

Anyone who has hooked up to the water at a campground knows what can come out of those lines - sediment, chlorine, even bacteria and viruses that slip through standard RV filters. The AR3 solves that with three stages of protection:

  • A pre-filter for larger particles
  • A carbon block that removes chlorine and odors
  • A 0.2-micron filter that blocks fine grit 100 times smaller than what most RV filters catch
This gives you water you can trust for drinking and cooking straight from your RV faucet.

Pressure Regulator to Protect Your RV's Plumbing

Blu Technology Pressure Regulator

Water pressure isn't the same at every campsite. Some spigots surge past what your RV's plumbing was built to handle, and over time that strain can crack fittings or shorten the life of your appliances. This Blu Tech regulator gives you control at the source. It adjusts pressure across a full range from 0 to 160 PSI, so you're in control no matter what spigot you connect to. It ships preset at 45 PSI, which is right in the 40 to 60 PSI range most RV plumbing is built for. It also includes a dual-layer inlet screen to block sediment before it reaches your lines, helping keep your water safe to drink while protecting your RV's system from campground surprises.

Three Way Splitter

Blu Technology Three Way Splitter

Most campgrounds only give you one spigot, but you often need more than one line. The included stainless-steel splitter gives you three outlets: one for the filter system, one for a garden hose to rinse gear or fill a bucket, and one for other uses at the site. Each outlet even has its own shut off valve for independent control.

Stainless Steel Hoses

Blu Technology AR3 Hoses

The system includes a 25' stainless steel hose to reach campground spigots and a 5' hose to connect the system to your RV. The stainless braid prevents kinks and protects against abrasion, so the hoses stay flexible and route where you need them without blocking water flow.

Portable and Compact

Blu Technology ARX+ Storage Bag

Instead of a fixed install under the sink, you set it up the AR3 outside when you're ready to draw water. The built-in 12V pump connects to your RV's power supply and pulls from a tank, barrel, or campground spigot. The outlet hose runs to your RV's fresh-water inlet just like a standard hookup. When you're done, the 14-lb frame and 5" filters pack up small enough to store in a bay or cabinet until the next stop.

  • Is The Blu Tech AR3 Really 0.2 Micron Absolute?
Hey Jess, welcome back, and good question. Short answer, no, it’s not stated as a .02 absolute rating, and that’s the key distinction. Blu Tech lists the AR3 as a 0.2 micron filter, but they also clearly note that those micron claims are “based on manufacturer representation” and not a certified absolute rating. That usually means it’s a nominal or performance-based rating, not a guaranteed “absolute” cutoff like you’d see with lab-certified filters. As far as testing documentation, Blu...

  • Small Water Filter In Tight Space Of Lance 850 Truck Camper
Hey Jake, in a tighter setup like a Lance camper, the SOLO # GB64FR is usually the easiest fit. It’s compact, mounts directly into your water line, and still gives you 0.2-micron filtration without taking up much space. That’s why it’s popular in vans and truck campers. If you ever want to step things up later, you can still pair it with a portable 3-stage system outside like # GB39FR - but the SOLO is a great starting point for keeping things simple and space-efficient. Are you planning...

  • Building Camper Van For Off-Grid Use - What Filter And Pump Can I Use For Lake Water So I Can Drink?
Hey Alex, that’s exactly what the ARX+ Off-Grid # GB54FR is designed for. It has a built-in 12V pump and battery, so it can draw water from lakes, streams, or containers and run it through a 4-stage filtration system. No pressurized hookup needed. The portable battery comes with a few different charger styles so that you can always find a way to keep it charged, whether it's a shore power hookup, cigarette outlet, or car/rv battery connection. The AR3 systems like # GB39FR or # GB59FR...

  • Is There A Water Filter Kit For RV That Spends Some Time At Campground And Some Off-Grid?
Hey Tyler, you’ve got a couple ways to approach that depending on how often you’re off-grid. If most of your time is still campgrounds, the AR3 Essential # GB39FR will cover your day-to-day really well. Then for occasional off-grid trips, some folks just carry extra water rather than switching systems. If you want true flexibility, the ARX+ # GB54FR is the only one here that can actually pull from lakes or containers thanks to its built-in pump. It can be connected to a campground spigot,...

  • 2018 Winnebago Minnie Water Pressure At Parks Is Too High. What Water Filter Kit Will Work For This?
Goooood morning Aaron, you’re right to be thinking about that - high pressure can do some real damage over time. That travel trailer usually doesn't have a water pressure regulator from the factory, so it's normal to have this concern. The nice thing with the Blue Tech AR3 Essential water filter kits ( # GB39FR and AR3 Elite # GB59FR) is they both include a pressure regulator that’s already set in the safe range for RV plumbing. So you’re protecting your lines and filtering your water...

  • Should I Install Blue Tech AR3 Essential Or ARX+ In My Camper?
Hey Kevin, if most of your trips are still campgrounds, the AR3 Essential filter kit # GB39FR is definitely the easier day-to-day setup. It’s built for pressurized hookups and comes with everything you need. The ARX+ # GB54FR is really geared toward off-grid use since it has its own pump and battery to pull water from a tank, lake, or container. One thing that’ll really help narrow this down - what camper are you running, and does it already have a 12V water pump? If it doesn’t, the ARX+...

  • Is There A Water Filter System For RV That Also Helps With White Buildup From Hard Water?
Hello Denise, for that kind of mineral buildup, you’ll want the AR3 Elite # GB59FR. It includes the same 3-stage filtration as the Essential # GB39FR, but adds a water softener, which is what actually prevents that scaling. The softener is rechargeable with salt, so you can keep using it long-term. The AR3 Essential # GB39FR filters well, but won’t help with hardness. How long are you typically parked in one spot when you’re in Arizona? What areas do you like to camp in AZ?

  • How To Make Campground Water Safe For Drinking In 2021 Jayco Jay Flight
Hey Melissa, totally get that - this is one of the most common upgrades people make. A portable system like the Blu Technology AR3 Essential # GB39FR is a great starting point. It connects right at the campground spigot at your site and runs water through 3 stages, including a 0.2-micron filter, so you’re not just improving taste - you’re actually removing much finer contaminants than basic inline filters. That way everything coming into your RV is filtered before it even hits your faucets. If...

  • Is There A Water Filter I Can Install In My Campers Water Lines And Leave It In Place Permanently?
Hey there Brian, take a look at the Blu Technology SOLO filter # GB64FR. It installs directly into your RV’s water line usually under the sink, so once it’s in, you don’t have to mess with it again. It still uses a 0.2-micron filter, so it’s a big step up from basic inline filters. The tradeoff is it’s a single-stage system, so it’s not as robust as the AR3 3 stage setups like # GB39FR - but it’s by far the most convenient if you just want an affordable filter that will remove sediments...

Hey Dan, if you’re mostly on campground water and want something simple but effective, the AR3 Essential filter kit # GB39FR is a solid middle ground. It gives you 3-stage filtration including carbon for taste and a 0.2-micron filter and sets up right at the spigot with everything included - so you’re not modifying anything on your RV. If you ever find yourself dealing with hard water or staying longer in one place, that’s where stepping up to the AR3 Elite # GB59FR would make more sense....

Hey Greg, the Blu Technology AR3 Essential filter kit # GB39FR is a really solid fit for that. It also comes with the regulator, hoses, and splitter, so you’re not piecing anything together. It comes with everything you'll need all in one tidy kit! This will protect your RV water system from contaminants and make it safer...
