Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch For 2019 Ford F-250 That Mounts in Underbed Rails

Question:

I have a 2019 F-250 short bed without factory prep for a 5th wheel. I am buying a 42’ Montana fifth wheel, I am looking at your Demco auto sliders, is there one that will Work and take out to use the full bed when not using the fifth wheel? Thank you

There is absolutely a Demco Autoslide 5th wheel hitch for your 2019 Ford F-250 that mounts in underbed rails so you can remove it and use your F-250's bed. I'll list out what you'll need, and please not there are two Autoslide hitches, one with an 18k capacity and the other with a 21k capacity so you'll want to choose the right one for your application.

- Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - 18,000 lbs # DM8550022 or 21,000 lbs # DM8550037

- Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for Demco Hijacker # DM8551009

- Bargman 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness for Aluminum Truck Bed # 50-97-410-010

This will give you everything you need to add the Autoslide that attaches to a rail kit that is under your F-250's bed to keep your bed clean. The Hijacker Autoslide is a really smart choice for a 5th wheel hitch not only because its automatic slide is so convenient, but also because the hitch is made to give you quieter, more comfortable ride than other hitches.

It has a single-piece jaw that wraps totally around the king pin, and that connection is reinforced via a 3/4" solid steel bar that locks into place once the jaw is closed. The reinforced jaw system is what will ensure you have a more pleasant ride with less rattling and slack in the jaws than other hitches.

The hitch is heavy, so I do recommend considering the lift bracket and a hoist, the Demco 5th Wheel Lifting Bracket # DM6100, Viking Solutions Rack Jack Magnum Hoist with Winch for 2" Hitches # 310-VMH001, and Pin and Clip # F-4.
