Question:
2003 dodge 2500 with factory 7 way. Tekonsha p3 vs curt triflex? Which is better and why? Will both work for a 10000 lb 2 axle Grand design trailer?

Hi Dan; this is a pretty easy choice, I would definitely pick the P3 over the Curt TriFlex # C43GV. The P3 wins for reliability alone, and it has more features. The only real advantage with the TriFlex is the lower cost. However, right now the P3 isn't available, and Tekonsha is for sale. We don't know what the future holds for the brand, and I you probably won't be able to get warranty support if you need it.
For an equally reliable brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR. This doesn't have a custom wiring harness so you can use the Curt # C51332 along with the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter # 331-TPH-019 for a plug and play installation. All of these are compatible with that Grand Design trailer.
Where are you headed first once you get the brake controller installed?
