Question:

I have a 2007 Airstream Bambi, 19 Safari edition. The Sharp microwave needs replacing, model R-820BK-F. I was wondering what would be a good replacement to get from you where the trim kit would fit the space. The current trim kit is 23 wide by 17 high. There is really no room for anything even slightly larger. Thank you!

Welcome back Rich and thanks for the information! To replace your Sharp Carousel microwave R-820BK-F, I recommend the Greystone Built-In RV Convection Microwave item # GR27FR. It measures 21" wide x 11" tall x 15-3/4" deep. Dimensionally this is going to be the closest replacement I have.

The Greystone item # GR27FR is a 1.1 cu ft convection microwave with ten different temperature and eight auto-cook settings. It's pretty versatile you can use it for baking and microwaving.

What do you typically cook in your microwave or do you just use it for heating things up?

@RichW You're welcome! We do not have the pn 2022302120 trim kit that's designed for the Greystone Built-In RV Convection Microwave item # GR27FR.

@RichW My Sharp convection microwave in my 2006 Airstream Classic stopped working this past winter in Florida due to a power surge. My original Sharp did yeoman's duty for 20 years. I bought the GR27FR due to its dimensions. eTrailer recommended a trim kit for it but it was too small. in dimensions. Hindsight I should have bought a micro with the trim kit included. Would you buy a new car that didn't include the engine? I am now back home in Canada and trying to source out the proper trim kit. The GR27FR is a great replacement and does all the things we want it to.
