Question:
I have ordered a pair of F008563 Plastic Fenders 13 and CE26089G Support Brackets 6.5x8.25. Your instructions on mounting the fenders are unclear but... Are these brackets best mounted to the fender at approximately 45* angles relative to the frame? Do you recommend fender washers to prevent the mounting bolts from pulling through the plastic fenders?

Hey Charles, when using the Mounting Brackets for Trailer Fender # CE26098G-2 to install the Fulton fender part # F008563 the position of the brackets really comes down to what will work best for your individual situation. I think going into the install with 45 degrees as the goal angle for the two brackets is a great plan but if for some reason you have to deviate a bit either way that's perfectly acceptable as well. Using washers is also highly recommended as well to prevent the bolts getting pulled through the plastic like you said.

Thanks for that reply! I've seen one site since posing my question where the two supports were mounted vertically under the top step pad to make sure it would support being stepped on. Do you think that is necessary?
