Updated 01/30/2026 | Published 01/22/2026

Question:

Hello Etrailer I am trying to figure out which grease seal I need for my 5200lb Dexter axles. The sticker on the axle says 45015, with serial number 121821653 but I cant find that information online anywhere. Would you be able to help? Thank you!

Hey Carlos, thanks for the information and your patience. I reached out to Dexter with your information last week and still haven't heard back. There's two options to replace the grease seal on your Dexter 5,200 lbs axles.

2.125" ID - Grease Seal - Double Lip item # GS-2125DL
2.250" ID - Grease Seal - Double Lip item # GS-2250DL

The most accurate way to determine the correct grease seal you need is to pull one of your hubs and check to see if there's a part number stamped into the side. You can also use a digital caliper like item # PTW80157 to measure your trailer spindle where the grease seal rides so you know this will fit. That spot on the spindle is labeled as B on the diagram attached below.

If you're replacing the bearings as well we have complete kits for both size seals.

For a 2.125" ID - Grease Seal you'll need item # BK3-210

For a 2.250" ID - Grease Seal you'll need item # BK3-200

What specific model is your 2013 Dutchmen Komfort?

These seals and fittings are working well for me. My boat trailer has 3 axels. Hope this helps.
