Looking For Square Tube Marine Axle For Boat Trailer

Updated 01/16/2026 | Published 01/11/2026

Question:

Hello, I’m looking for a replacement axle assembly for my boat trailer. It’s a galvanized square tube axle with a hub face measurement of 69in and a spring center to center measurement of 58 1/2. Note sure what its rating is, has 13in tires with a 4.5in 5 lug pattern. Hauling a 14 foot skiff in saltwater.

Hey Kevin I do appreciate you reaching out but I am sorry to say we do not offer an axle that matches your specifications. We have only a few square tube marine axles and they are all much shorter than what you are looking for. We could provide hubs for said axle, but for the axle itself you will need to look elsewhere.

Thanks for getting back to me! Do you have a non tubed axle that would work for my application?

@KevinM We do have the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # A35RS545 which is 3,500 lb rated and has 5 on 4-1/2" idler hubs. They bolt directly to the frame. Some applications requires adding a 2"x2" steel cross tube for additional support. As far as our tube axles we have mostly round tube axles. The closest to what you need would be a 72" hub face like part # 20545I-EZ-72-10. This is rated for 2,200 lbs. Any idea how much the boat and trailer weigh?
