Will EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit 2019 F-350 With Adaptive Cruise Control

Updated 01/14/2026 | Published 01/10/2026

Question:

I have a ford f350 lariat with the 6.7 diesel. I can’t seem to find any questions or pictures about the adaptive cruise control box that sits on the driver side in the bumper between the tow hook and the license plate holder. Will this mount work with that option installed?

Hey Kevin! The EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7904 will fit your 2019 Ford F-350. The adaptive cruise control box will remain in place. However, you will have to disconnect the wiring harness before removing the bumper.

I just looked through the installation instructions, it doesn't include that step so EcoHitch hasn't updated them to show this for a while. I did find an older review where another customer found they had to disconnect the wiring first which confirms that step.

What will you be using the hitch for?

I will be using it for a bike rack as I pull a 5th wheel and am not able to have a hitch on the back. Thank you for this information I will be ordering.

I installed this front hitch on my 2021 F350 which has adaptive cruise and the 360 degree camera system. During the install, when removing the front bumper, these systems disconnect quite simply and are then reconnected when the bumper is replaced after the hitch is mounted. This is a great addition. I use it to more easily maneuver my boat into its garage, which has to be approached on an angle due to limited space and it works great. It would also work well for a front hitch mounted bike rack or cargo carrier, so long as the headlights are not obscured. The hardest part was remounting the front bumper to get the spacing right, so an extra set of hands would have helped. I did it myself using some floor jacks for the assist.

Also, Kevin, you will just need to unplug the wiring, the box for the adaptive cruise doesn’t need to be moved.

Installed on a 2022 F-350 diesel I installed it myself took me a day to install, love the hidden feature once your license plate is installed can’t see hitch As for the adaptive cruise control still works fine- However when I have a scooter on motorcycle ramp the adaptive cruise won’t work it sees the ramp - I just turn the the adaptive cruise off and use normal cruise control

I Installed this hitch on my 2019 F350 diesel for the exact same reason you are installing it. I don't have adaptive cruise control (wish I did) so I didn't run into that issue. I did have to remove what I assume was the airbag sensor that is clipped to the bumper. I didn't see this in the instructions so it kind of surprise me when I was removing the bumper. I was holding up the bumper with one hand while trying to unclip the sensor with the other. Would have been a lot easier if I knew it was there and disconnected it before I unbolted the bumper and was holding the weight of it. Fortunately I did this on my father-in-law's lift so that made the job a lot easier. If you can find a lift to use the job goes a lot faster and easier. Still took me longer than the instructions said it would.

Hey Kevin, I put the hitch on my 2021 Ford F250HD/7.3 Godzilla... I've used it extensively pulling logs for firewood cutting here in the PA mountains. You might imagine the pressure it receives dragging very heavy butt logs across this terrain. I've had zero instances of any problems to date. I run a 12,000 lb. Badland winch which has also performed flawlessly. Thanks again, Scott
