Question:

I already bought a Vevor 10000 towbar.What baseplate will work on my 2009 Sururban 2500?I see Blue Ox works on ford f 250 but what about the Chevy?

Hi Eddie; are you specifically looking for Blue Ox? The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1678 is the correct base plate for your 2009 Suburban 2500. It looks like that tow bar comes with safety cables so you will also need wiring and a supplemental brake system. I recommend the following:

-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267

-Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System # RVI94FR (includes charge line)

You may also need a high-low adapter like the # e52ZV to keep your tow bar +/- 3" of level. The bracket height on the base plate is 18-1/2". If you measure from the ground to the center of your trailer hitch receiver and subtract you will find the rise/drop you need to remain level.

The reason I specified Blue Ox base was Vevor ad said the 10k tow bar would attach to it. The Blue Ox is on back order so would the classic fixed baseplate. e98959 attach to to the Vevor. If so I would buy that . Thank you

@EddieD the # e98959 only fits the 1500 so I'm sorry to say it won't fit. It looks like Vevor claims to be universal so if they have a way to attach to Roadmaster you can use the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 3115-3. There are probably adapters available through them, or they may be able to use another brands adapters, I didn't see anything specific.
