How to Achieve 2-1/4" Lift On Correct Track for Triple Axle

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 12/20/2025

Question:

The info on the product says it can lift either 1 1/4 inch or 2 1/4 in but under the specs area is says for 2 1/4 inch lift you need 2 kits, which one is true? I need to lift my Chapparal Light a couple inches

Hi John; this has been a pretty big source of confusion and frustration for us. The Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit - Triple Axle # RR55QX comes with six sets of brackets. You need to extend all of the hangers for the full 2-1/4" lift, and there will be 8 hangers on your triple axle trailer.

Adding the single axle kit # LC87120 will give you enough to extend all of the hangers for the full lift. My team has been trying to get this changed for quite a while, I apologize for the lack of clarity.

I'm not sure I purchased the exact kit you have, but we had to buy the triple axle kit for our 30' 2-axle fifth wheel. Our lift was 2-5/8" We also added the X-Factor cross-members to stiffen the shackles. The whole package worked great. We took two 6-week trips in the trailer this year and put over 10,000 miles on it since we bought the trailer in May. It tows like a dream and I have had no problems what so ever. Probably 4,000 miles was in the mountains out west (we live in Colorado). I highly recommend the X-Factor crossmember supports as we have had problems with bent shackles on our previous 2 non-lifted 5th wheels. However, even with the lift on this one, the shackles are rock solid and show no signs of bending thanks to the added side-to-side support of the X-Factor crossmember supports.
