Hey Virgil, thanks for reaching out. The Andersen Rapid Hitch Greaseless 2-Ball Mount # AN93VR is not specifically designed to work with the GMC multipurpose tailgate. It will work on a GMC truck, or any truck with a 2-1/2" receiver but you would not be able to fully deploy the fold-down portion tailgate.
That said, we do offer a ball mount that is designed to be compatible with the GMC tailgate. Take a look at the following:

Take a look at the picture I included. It shows the ball mount with the tailgate folded down.
