When you’re hauling serious weight, strong hardware matters. The 2-5/16" stainless steel ball handles up to 22,000 lbs GTW, while the 2" ball covers 8,000 lbs GTW. With a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 lbs, this hitch is built for large campers, boats, or equipment trailers. The high-strength steel shank and matte black powder coat fight corrosion and road wear so you can tow heavy without worry season after season.
Switching between trailers with different heights is simple. The adjustable platform slides up or down the 2.5" shank in 1" increments, giving you a maximum 6" drop or 7" rise. Locking dual pins hold everything solid once set. Whether your trailer sits low or high, this setup keeps it level so it tracks straight and brakes smooth.
No need to pull the mount out every time you’re finished towing. The stowable design lets you flip the ball platform under the truck when not in use. That keeps the hitch out of the way and reduces shin bumps while keeping your receiver clear. Just remove the locking dual pins, reposition the platform to face toward your vehicle, and pin it back in place for travel.
Everything about this setup is designed to stay tight and secure. The locking pin set is keyed alike to secure both the shank and platform against theft. It has given me insight to trailering live weights like horses. The tongue weight varies up to 500lbs as horses move around.
The locking pins freeze up in the cold so you can’t adjust height, switch ball size or remove from the truck. The locking pins rust very quickly and are very difficult to remove. I take good care of my trailer stuff and I have regularly oiled the lock mechanism since I first put it on the truck, I was very disappointed when I realized it had already rusted. The scale is cool but serves no justifiable purpose. I will not be purchasing any other weighsafe products.
It is a great product and works as indicated. Even though it is a little pricey it is worth the peace of mind to know that your weight is evenly loaded/

Great hitch, fit and finish is excellent with lots of adjustability. Nice to have the scale when loading equipment or vehicles. I have used lots of hitches, this is worth spending the money if you tow different trailers or trailers with different weight loads.

The hitch seems to be a really nice. I have yet to test the scale with my trailer loaded. The reason for the 4 star and not 5. The hitch showed up damaged from shipping. The packaging is very thin, it looks like it was dragged down the street. Because of the weight of this hitch it should have been double boxed. Normally I hate it when a seller would double box but his hitch needed it to prevent it from ripping through its original box. For the price of this hitch I feel like it should arrive undamaged.
It is exactly what we need in our business. The guys are constantly adjusting the hitch to level the trailers with and without loads and this helps to know that we are not overloading the tongue. High quality as well.
Until using this product, knowing the tongue weight was all about the look and the feel when towing.
Hauling unusual loads, this product has helped solve the problem of tongue weight.

Ive used it many times and the tight fit to the receiver means a steadier load while hauling. That hitch will last a very long time.
