The Kodiak XL ProLube Kit for 3500-lb Axles # XLPROLUBE1980KIT that you referenced would work to convert the hubs of your Kodiak Disc Brake Assembly # K1HR35D to oil bath hubs. Oil bath setups are usually found on higher capacity axles, but they would work very well for you.
Personally I like grease better as it suits most trailering needs better. If you blow a grease seal or lose a cap you'll still make it home most likely as the grease will stay in the hub. On a oil bath if you get a leak you're going to do bearing damage before you realize you have a problem.
