2025 Sierra 2500 Feels Light On Front End And Floats When Braking With Car Hauler - Air Bags?

Question:
When I tow my enclosed car hauler, my 2025 Sierra 2500 feels like the front end floats a little under braking. Will airbags help?

Hey Nate, thanks for asking. What you’re feeling is the rear squatting and pulling weight off the front axle which is very common when loading down a truck that has factory suspension. Adding the Firestone air bag upgrade # F64XV lets you lift the rear back to level, which restores front brake bite and steering feel.
Most of the time people end up running 30–50 PSI, but the app makes it easy to dial in exactly what your Sierra needs as every situation is a bit different. Do you have a Weight Distribution Hitch yet? If not, I'd grab one to help with this issue and prevent swaying.
What car are you hauling?
