Does etrailer Anti Rattle Fit GM Trucks with Multipro Tailgate

Anti rattle hitch, how thick is it as opposed to coming out from the end of my receiver? I have a GMC multi gate and it seems like about 3/4 of an inch clearance when the gate is down before hitting the hitch receiver.

Hey J H, the thickness of the etrailer anti rattle device part # e38FV is right at about 3/4 inches in width from where it attaches to the hitch opening. We've had no issues fitting this on trucks with the multipro tailgate though as we have found there to be quite a bit more clearance like what you can see in the attached picture.

Hey Fred, that's a great question but you can leave the etrailer anti-rattle hitch collar part #e38FV on your hitch and you won't have to worry about it falling off without a ball mount installed.

Hey John, the etrailer anti-rattle device part #e38FV is powdercoated steel so it's not going to rust. Are you in an area that gets a lot of salt on the roads in the winter?
