Is The Curt Hitch 13487 Identical To Part C87WR?
Updated 12/08/2025 | Published 12/03/2025 >
Question:
Hello. Im looking for a looking for a hitch, and I was told by a representative at Curt that their 13487 would fit my 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander non PHEV. I dont see that model on your website, but a Curt hitch with a part number of C87WR comes up as a compatible hitch for my vehicle. Is the C87WR identical to the 13487? Do you assign your own part numbers that are different than the actual Curt part numbers? Perhaps that might explain the difference. If they are different, how so? Thank you.

Hey again Daniel. Hope you are well!
Yes, the Curt 13487 and the # C87WR hitch you see on our website are one and the same. We use our own unique part numbers for a lot of parts, especially Curt since a lot of theirs are only 5 digits.
That said, the # C87WR will indeed fit your 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander non PHEV. It fits 2022-2027 Outlander non PHEV models.
What will you be using the hitch for? Do you have a bike rack? Or will you be hauling a trailer?

Hey! Thank you for clearing that up. I appreciate it. Is there a way to upload pictures on here? I wanted to ask about something regarding the hitch, and well, a picture is worth a thousand words. PS: Yes, a bike rack, a hitch step to get things off my roof rack, and as a recovery point if needed. A trailer might also be in my future.
