Recommended Baseplate for a 2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X

Do you know which blue ox plates would work with a Sierra 2500HD AT4X, ideally twist and lock so can re-use my other toad attachments? Thanks

I sure do Lluis. For a 2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X, you'll need the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BLU97UR. This baseplate does work with Blue Ox towbars, however it does not require the item # BX62-3470 you purchased last month. This baseplate kit attaches directly to a Blue Ox tow bar or adapter without any removable tabs.

You referenced having other attachments so it sounds like this isn't your first flat tow experience. What other parts do you need for your new truck?

Here's a list of the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your 2025 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X. We have other wiring and 2nd vehicle options for braking systems if you already have those parts from another flat tow setup.

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar item # BX7420

Battery Disconnect - Roadmaster Battery Disconnect Switch item # RM-766 for gas or item # RM93MR for diesel

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

Supplemental Braking System - Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR for a permanent install or the Curt RVi Series 4 Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI44FR for a portable system.

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. Hey Lluis, how did the Blue Ox base plate kit work out on your Sierra 2500HD AT4X? Did it connect smoothly with your existing tow bar and other flat tow gear? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar truck.
