Question:

Our 2018 Keystone Cougar slide is only 36 inches deep. Will the Rest Easy sofa hit the wall when opened?

You’re safe, Mike. The 68" wide Thomas Payne Rest Easy Trifold loveseat - whether it’s the Dellmead # TP49KR, Driftwood # TP69KR, or McCoy # TP79KR, no-wall-clearance is required, meaning the bed folds forward into the room instead of back. That’s a big reason they’re so popular for slideouts and tight spaces.

Just be sure you’ve got about 81 inches of open floor space when it’s in bed mode for full extension and comfort.

What do you currently have in that slide out space?

We swapped our old jackknife sofa for the McCoy trifold in a 34" slide and can confirm - no clearance issues at all. Fits great. it didnt' come with mounting hardware though.

@Terry Good catch on that, Terry - you’re right, these Rest Easy Trifold sofas don’t include dedicated mounting hardware. They come ready to drop in with legs pre-installed, and most setups just rest freestanding in the slide. If your original jackknife was bolted down, you can reuse those screws or add a simple L-bracket to keep it from shifting in transit, but it’s not required for normal use.
