Recommended Spacers for a Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bag Kit

Updated 12/01/2025 | Published 11/03/2025

Question:

I bought a set of Firestone ride-rite red label extreme duty. F2709. I am putting a 4 in lift on my truck and was wondering if there was a bracket or something for the air bags to compensate for the rear going up?

Yes, there is Nicholas and welcome back! Which ones you need are going to be determined by the amount of lift you're putting on the rear end of your 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 so you'll need to do some measuring.

In order to get the correct spacer kit you'll need to measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets on your Firestone item # F2709.

6-1/2" to 7-1/2" Between Brackets & 1-1/4" Lift: Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - 1-1/4" Spacers item # F2536

7-1/2" to 6-1/2" Between Brackets & 2" Lift: Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - 2" Spacers item # F2366

8-1/2" to 9-1/2" Between Brackets & 3" Lift: Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - 3" Spacers item # F2368

I linked an installation video below so you can see how to get the spacers setup.

Which lift kit are you installing on your Sierra? I put a Rough Country lift leveling kit on my Silverado and I think it may have lifted the rear 2".

Hey Nicholas, how did your measurements turn out for the Firestone air bag spacers on your Sierra? Were the 2-inch spacers the right match for your 4-inch lift? Your update could make it easier for others working on a similar setup.
