Do the TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps Have to be Removed for Travel?

Are these steps considered a permanent mount? We do not want to remove them each time we travel. When folded up at the mounting block, do they stay folded in place? Thank you.

Hey Jacqueline, thanks for reaching out!
The TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps # TLA7804 can be left on permanently, but they also have some simple pins that keep them in place in case you ever wanted to take them off and store them elsewhere or clean them.
Since you do plan on leaving them on full-time I recommend checking out the Pin Lock # TLA7509 so you can have some peace of mind that they won't grow a pair of legs and walk off by themselves.
