Question:
Are the Dexter 7K ABS brakes plug-and-play with existing Tow Assist wiring?

Expert Reply:
Yes Jacob - the Dexter 7K ABS assemblies # DX69WR and # DX79WR plug directly into your trailer’s existing Tow Assist harness. You’ll connect the brake power leads and the ABS sensor plug just like the originals.
If your ABS light ever shows amber after install, it means one sensor isn’t being detected - usually just a loose connector or pin. Sometimes means a sensor is bad though and you'd need one from Dexter. Reseat both plugs and it’ll return to green automatically.

Appreciate it, Andrew. I checked my connectors and they look fine, but my light still goes amber after a few miles of towing. Any idea if that could be a sensor starting to fail?
