Clearance Requirements for the Furrion Built-In RV Convection Microwave and Air Fryer FR77AD

Question:

What are the clearance requirements around the microwave in the cabinet? My opening is 21 3/8 wide, 14 7/8 deep and 11 1/2 high. Inside the opening, there is another 3inch above the microwave and 1 1/2inch on each side, but no extra room in depth. I could put a vent panel behind it if necessary. There is also a vent below and above the microwave.

Hey John. I went on Furrion's website and found the clearance requirements for the Furrion Built-In RV Convection Microwave and Air Fryer w/ Trim Kit item # FR77AD. You're definitely going to have to enlarge the opening to make it taller. The microwave itself is 13-3/8" tall and requires an internal clearance between 14-5/8" - 14-11/16". I don't have another convection microwave and air fryer combo that's going to work with the depth of your cabinet.

Are you able to enlarge the opening? The trim kit measures 23-3/8" wide x 15" tall so it will cover the part of your cabinet you'll need to cut out.
