Question:
I am looking to order a hitch receiver and wiring harness to install on a VW ID.Buzz. The wiring harness is available for purchase/pre-order - do you have an estimate on when the product will be in stock? Do you happen to know whether the wiring install will require the bumper to be removed? If unsure about this particular install, is this common on other vehicles? If so, Ill wait for the part and install the hitch receiver and harness at the same time. Thanks in advance!

Hey Mike! You will not have to remove the bumper to install a wiring harness on your 2025 Volkswagen ID-Buzz. The Curt is still a pre-order (we don't have an ETA) but you can actually get a wiring harness right now from Tekonsha # TK98DR. Take a look at the picture below and you will see where this connects to the vehicle wiring. The full installation instructions are also attached further down on this page.
Are you planning on towing or do you have an accessory with lights?

Hey Mike, how did things go with the Tekonsha wiring harness on your ID.Buzz? Did it connect easily without needing to move the bumper? Your update could make it easier for others planning the same setup.
