Question:
Need to replace the idler hub but have limited information. It goes on a 6’x14’ utility trailer and I believe that it is a 3500 lb axle but no sticker that I can find. It’s a 5 - 4-1/2” bolt pattern. Will this fit my trailer?

Hi Jackie!
A 3,500 pound axle should use the # L68149 inner bearing, # L44649 outer bearing, and # 58846 grease seal, which the Terran Axle Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500 lbs Axle - 5 on 4-1/2 # TX33VJ also uses. Unfortunately, I can't tell if those are the bearings the hub in your pictures uses. But since the hub is already off, it does make finding out a lot easier.
Just remove the seal and pop the bearings out. There will be numbers on them (see first picture I have attached) and if they match the bearing numbers i mentioned above, you are good to go. If you get different bearing numbers, let me know what they are and I can see what we have for you.
If the bearing numbers are not visible, you can also measure your spindle to figure out what you have. I have a second picture attached that shows where you need to measure. If you can get me measurements "C" and "D", I can get you all squared away.
Out of curiosity, how old is this trailer?

Thanks Lazer. I will see if the bearing numbers are visible. If not, I’ll get the measurements. The trailer is approximately 15 years old
