Question:
I have a 2023 Grand Design XLS travel trailer. How bright are the backup lights on these strips as compared to a stand alone white LED light fixture. I like the idea of the strip for additional brake lights. I am looking for something that would allow me to back into a campsite or my yard at night. Thanks.

Hey Bill, thanks for reaching out!
The Optronics Smoke Lens ID Light Bar # OPT55KB doesn't have Lumen or Candela ratings according to my contact at Optronics. I will say that this will be about the equivalent of a light on your vehicle. So there will be some illumination, but if you're wanting a clear view of what's behind you, adding a standalone light fixture is the better way to go.
I really like the Low Profile LED Flood Light # 3371492135 which I recommend hooking up to a switch so it doesn't automatically pop on when you back up (thinking about in a parking lot scenario out in public). I'm attaching some photos a customer sent in with their review to show you how well this flood light lights up an area.
What are your thoughts on the flood light?
