Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 10/05/2025

Question:

I have a 2003 Arctic Fox 22G trailer. I need the seals for wheel bearings. The axle is a Dexter, but I cannot make out the model . Do you know which seals I would need?

Hi David; if the axle tag is too worn to read it the only way to find a replacement grease seal is to pull your hub and check for part numbers or measure. Looking at some old brochures I believe the 22G held to a 7,500 lb GVWR so if I had to guess those are probably 3,500 lb axles.

Assuming that is correct, the replacement grease seal would be the # RG06-050 with an inner diameter of 1.719". If you wanted a full bearing kit it would be the # BK2-100 which includes the # L44649 outer and # L68149 inner bearing found on standard 3,500 lb axles.

If you find you have different measurements let me know in the comments below and I'll help you find the right replacement.

Hey David, did the grease seal for the 3,500 lb axle end up being the right fit for your Arctic Fox trailer? Knowing what you found could help others trying to match seals on older Dexter axles.
