Replacement Seal Recommendation for Dexter 010-004-00

Question:

My trailer has the Dexter 010-004-00 seal on it. I understand that it can be replaced by the Single or double lip seal. The double lip is for the E-Z Lube axle and I dont have that. Is one a better choice than the other? Thanks

We have the exact seal you would need. For a pair you would want the part # RG06-050. This is a double lip seal that would work great for you.

Double lip seals aren't only for EZ lube spindles. They are just basically a better sealing design than single lips seals and are a good idea for all hubs. Typically it's marine applications that have to have them since they do a better job keep water out but we still recommend them for everyone as there is basically no down side to using them.
