Question:

Hi there, I recently switched from square bars to aero bars and my Thule XT wind fairing clips need to be swapped over. I found part number TH22NH which states in the informational video that the older model, which I have, needs part 8537361. I cant seem to find the compatible part to update my fairing. Please advise. Thank you

Hey Kyle. The part number 8537361 has been replaced with the upgraded Replacement Clips for Thule AirScreen XT Fairing - Qty 4 item # TH22NH, you mentioned. These have a strap that is more reliable and will work with your new aero bars. They will work so long as you have the original pivot arms still installed on your fairing.

Are you still driving a 2003 Element or did you upgrade vehicles along with the crossbars?

Hey Kyle, how did the new clips work out with your aero bars and fairing? It’d be great to hear if the fit with your existing pivot arms went smoothly. Your update could make it easier for others switching from square to aero bars.

Hello, I am a bit confused by Jerred's reply. I am looking for a replacement for my Thule AirScreen fairing clip (part # 8537361). Per Jerred's reply, item # TH22NH replaces that part as long as I have the original pivot arm (which I do). However TH22NH product description states " Compatible only with newer Thule AirScreen XT fairing models. Older AirScreen XT fairing models need item 8537361." My AirScreen is the older model (TH871XT). Would you please confirm if TH22NH are a compatible replacement for part # 8537361 and will fit on the TH871XT's pivot arm? If not - does etrailer sell a compatible replacement?
