How to Swap Out Thule Lock Cylinders

Question:

I just purchased a lock cylinder to eliminate having two different keys, but now can not locate the directions for replacement. I need the lock cylinder replacement directions. Thank you.

You will need to insert the universal change key into an unlocked cylinder that is currently in your Thule rack and then remove the cylinder. It may take a little bit of wiggling for the cylinder to work itself loose, but when the change key is inserted into the lock cylinder the cylinder will be free to slide out.

If you do not have a change key the part number is # 853-1251 that you have referenced.

Next, you will insert the change key into the new cylinder and you will insert the cylinder into the rack and then remove the change key.
