Looking For Equalizer and Shackles For Nitro Boat Trailer

Question:
I have a Nitro boat trailer and Im looking at your leaf spring bushing rebuild kit. part Number: K71-359-00. If I measure the axles they are 34 inches apart from Center to Center. That kit says it works for 33 inch spacing. would this kit still work for my application? Thanks

Hey Craig, thanks for reaching out. The axle spacing is actually not a reliable way to determine what equalizer and shackles you will need. The best way to know exactly what you will need is to measure the current equalizer and shackle links. There are other factors that go into the equalizer sizing aside from the axle spacing.
For the equalizer you will want to measure the length and height. Take a look at the picture I included for an example of how to measure.
Also measure the shackle links. All measurements are taken from center hole to center hole. The bolts and bushings are standard size.
The # K71-359-00 kit comes with a 2" tall 5-3/4" long equalizer and 2-1/4" long shackles.
We want to be sure the replacement parts are identical in size to the originals. There is a small amount of tolerance but not much, like 1/2" or less.
Get me those measurements and I am happy to look into it and make sure you get the right stuff.
