Question:
We just bought a 2023 Grand Design Reflection with 50 amp service. Should I go with the HU74ZR or HU72VR?

Kendra, congrats on the new Reflection! Those are super nice.
Since your RV has 50 amp service, you’ll want the Watchdog Power Center Surge Protector # HU74ZR. The Watchdog Surge Protector # HU72VR is 30 amp and won’t cover both legs of your panel, and it gets hardwired in which isn't for everyone!
The # HU74ZR simply plugs in without any hardwiring, will protect against surges, monitor each leg individually, and boost low voltage on heavy draw days.
Have you run into low power at campgrounds yet, or just planning ahead?

That makes sense, thanks Andrew! I haven’t had any low power yet, but we do a lot of state park camping so I’m thinking it’s only a matter of time. Does the HU74ZR have to stay plugged in all the time for the Bluetooth to work, or will it still send alerts if I’m away from the RV?
