Question:

Can it be mounted laying flat? Basement space is limited. Thanks,

Hey Bud. It doesn't say you can't put the Watchdog Power Center Surge Protector and Voltage Booster item # HU74ZR on its back but you are going to block some of the ventilation. The unit does warm up and it will shut off if the internal temperature gets over 165°.

The Watchdog Power Center Surge Protector item # HU74ZR measures 5-1/2" long x 10-1/2" wide x 13-1/2" tall.

How much space do you have and is there ventilation where you're going to be mounting the surge protector?

I only have 8 inches of vertical clearance between tanks where the transfer switch is located. I was going to move that over a little ways and then have them side-by-side. When I finally get the booster in hand I will have a better idea of where I can put it. I could put it up on a couple blocks if it needs a ventilation. Thank you,

@Bud Sounds like you've got a plan. I was more concerned about the vents being blocked if you were to lie the Power Center on its back.
