Does the top load lid open all the way it mounted against a wall?

Yes, it does Mike. There's enough of a gap between the mounting bracket and the back of the lid on the Bright Way Push-to-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit item # 3802308, that the lid will open up all the way.

@JerredH I noticed the wires need to be pushed back in almost all the way in order to open the door. Caution when hooking if up you have enough slack in the wires.
