How to Determine Wheel Stud Size for Disc Brake Kit for 2025 Brinkley with 7k Axles

I am looking to purchase a new disc brake package for my 2025 Brinkley with a 7K axle and the ask is to verify stud size. DO I need to pull the wheel off to do this or is it marked somewhere on my axle?

Hey Scott, your 2025 Brinkley comes with Curt axles and while the tag info can be used to ID the stud diameter by getting the serial number to Curt it's not explicitly listed on the axle. It would be a matter of getting them the axle info and they'd be able to come back and tell you the stud info. Or you can look on the hub of the trailer for any identifying information and it could be determined through that. Or you could just pull a wheel off and measure one of them. There's also chance you could determine it by looking up the wheel info if you can find anything on the back of the wheel.
The DeeMax kit part # DE66AR has a 1/2 inch stud which is the most common but we also have a 9/16 inch part # DE57NR. Let me know which you have. The # DE57NR seems to have some pricing issues going on but I sent an update that is hopefully fixed by time you see this.

My Z-3100 came with 9/16" Studs. It's very easy to check the size that you have. Loosen the lug nuts just a little with the wheel on the ground. (They are torqued to 120 ft.lbs). Raise up the axel and wheel using the Brinkley hydraulic leveling system. Remove the Lugnuts and remove the wheel and tire. I find that using a prybar under the tire helps take the weight off the studs and makes wheel removal and installation easier. Next, take an adjustable wrench and use it as a caliper to measure the stud diameter. Snug the wrench around the stud, remove the wrench and measure the gap. It's that simple. Hope that this helps.
