Question:
Can the Fogatti FG45FR or FG65FR be installed horizontally under a dinette bench, or do they have to be mounted vertically?

Expert Reply:
Tony, good question, these furnaces are designed for horizontal installs, which is how most RVs use them under benches, beds, or cabinets. The key is to maintain the required clearances for ventilation and make sure the ducting and propane line are routed cleanly. Mounting vertically is generally not recommended since it can interfere with airflow.
Do you already have ducts in that bench area, or are you planning to cut new runs? That’ll guide how straightforward the install will be.
Also the # FG45FR is the black door version, while the # FG65FR is the white door version in case you were wondering. If you don't actually have a service door on the outside and just have a vent, you'd be wanting the doorless option instead # FG55FR.
