Troubleshooting EverChill RV Refrigerator Freezer Works Fine But Fridge Will Not Cool

Question:
Purchased the keystone raptor carbon series 358 which came with the everchill refrigerator. Our first long trip we found that the refrigerator isn’t cooling. Freezer is working but refrigerator isn’t. What can I do to trouble shoot?

Hello Robin, thanks for reaching out. Usually when we see this happen with RV refrigerators it is a power issue. First, make sure your batteries are fully charged. Next, I suggest you next take a multimeter and ensure you are getting at least 11.5v at the unit. Receiving less than that could cause certain parts of the fridge to work but not everything. Sometimes we will see lights come on but the unit won't cool, or you see the freezer run but not the refrigerator portion. If you are receiving the correct amount of voltage you could have a control board or thermostat issue. In this case I suggest you have a tech come take a look.
You could also try checking to make sure there are no blockages preventing the unit from getting proper airflow.
Was this unit brand new off the lot? Or did you buy it used?
