Is There a Surfboard Pad That Fits the Yakima OverHaul HD Ladder Rack?

I have the Yakima Overhaul HD rack on my Tacoma. I mainly use it for transporting surfboards. Im having a hard time finding pads to use for the Yakima HD Crossbars. I purchased the 30inch Dakine Aero pads and the velcro does not fit around the bars. I also purchased the 30inch Yakima Crossbar Pads for Aero Crossbars and those dont fit well around the HD bars either. Is there a crossbar pad that you sell that can be used with the Yakima HD Crossbars? Thank you.

Hey AC, thanks for reaching out - I LOVE the Yakima OverHaul HD # Y01151-57!
The only downside to this ladder rack is the width of the crossbars, but this is a typical problem for any ladder rack on the market.
If you just want some padding, then you'll need to come up with a custom option for yourself like pool noodles or something like that. It won't be glamorous, but it will get the job done.
Alternatively, we have the LockRack Surfboard Carrier # LR59FR which installs in the T-Slots of the OverHaul HD, and then the arms hold the surfboard in place so it's easier to install than tying everything down. A bit more pricey with this option, but it would be the custom-fit style that looks nicer and is less of a headache.

Okay, thanks for the reply. So, it sounds like Yakima doesn't make a pad that fits their own HD Crossbars, is that correct? Yeah, I'd prefer to use pads versus buying a surfboard carrier. Thank you.
